Dear Kim,
2009 SA Variety Bash
The twenty first birthday of the SA Variety Bash was an occasion to remmber. It was a very proud moment for all South Australian's when it was announced in Alice Springs, in front of more than 2,000 Bash Entrants from around Australia, that the South Australian Variety Bash had raised $1.904 million NET and was the highest fundraising state in the world! Of course, the Bash is only run in Australia and New Zealand! but we can still make the claim! NSW was second with $1.9 million and Victoria third with $1.406 million.
We are extremely aware of thr support the entrants and Variety itself attracts from sponsors, families and friends over the twelve months leading into the event. Without this the SA Bash would not be the most successful in the country and children in need in our state would not get the support they so desperately need. One hundred percent of the $1.904 million raised goes to these children.
The send off from Victoria Square was fantastic and the guys and girls from the Talent Company were sensational and great crow pleasers.
Please pass on our thanks to the children and their parents and a huge thank you Kim for our organisation, enthusiasm and support.
Kind Regards
Wayne Richards - Bash Chairman
Jane Coldbeck - Events Manager
