The Australian Company of Performing Arts has recently been approached by the Active After Schools Program director who has asked the company to set up an outside of school program whereby children are given the opportunity to experience a fun and exciting environment whilst also be given an introduction to dance.

Currently, we are providing after school workshops to the following schools:

What our School's Package includes:

STREET DANCE: HIP HOP / FUNK / R&B

WorkshopsWorkshops/Performances 

Promoting fun & fitness through high energy street styles such as Hip Hop and Break Dance. From Beginners to National Champion level, routines are tailored to fit the age & skill level of the group, utilising Australia’s and America’s latest music...

Professionally choreographed Performances are also available from National teams who are the Under 10, Under 14, Under 17 and Open Age Australian HIP HOP Champions including “INCOGNITO”, Groove Urban Dance Battle Winners, Careers Expo and most recently nominated for the SA Great Youth Awards in both Sport & Arts.

 

DANCE

DANCE-03Workshops/Performances/SACE Exams/Coaching 

Numerous forms of technical, social and cultural dance styles can be taught on a one off, weekly or Semester basis.  We run yearly programs encompassing a variety of dance syllabuses culminating in a performance, production or examinations (SACE).

 

Our staff are fully qualified dance teachers with years of teaching experience. Some suggested styles include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Contemporary.

 

MUSICAL THEATRE

Musical theatre can be taught with the theoretical educational component and or the performance component. Both historical and modern musical can be offered, from West Side Story and Chicago to the modern Movie Musical of the current day including Wicked and Step Up.

We can take the production from concept to curtain call, inclusive of props, costume, music, vocal, drama, dance choreography etc.  Working closely with you, to achieve outcomes and objectives.

 

VOCAL

Vocal-2Workshops/Coaching 

We provide professional female and male vocal coaches and vocalists, beat boxers and performance teams including ‘Talent Company’, a group of 10-15 year old boys and girls who sing and dance LIVE!!!,

Promoting Self-Expression through rapping and vocal workshops, technical voice training, preparation for exams or auditions in a non-judgemental environment.  All Australian Hip Hop & Rapping workshops focus on developing student's skills to write & express themselves in an alternative form.

 

SPECIALTY PROGRAMS

DiscoWorkshops/Performances

Workshops can be run over several days or for a full term or semester. The choices are endless, our experience and contacts give us the range and flexibility to offer a variety of styles. The outcomes can be designed to suit your needs as an alternative to school camps, artist in residence etc. We discover the hidden talent in everyone.

A customised combination of Dance, Vocal, Acting & all kinds of performance may culminate in the staging of our very own version of the “MTV Awards”, as was done by Cabra College.

We develop public speaking skills as a T.V host, either at our convenient city studios or                                                we will come to you. We provide a caring environment and work on fostering creativity.

DRUMMING & BODY PERCUSSION

Engages both the right & the left side of the brain, encouraging students to get an understanding of rhythm, team work and culture...

Both Drumming and Body Percussion promote creativity & logical processing, allowing for stress release & the development of team building. Body Percussion is now commonly taught in Los Angeles as a form of Hip Hop and can be seen in latest movies such as How She Move and on the Australian T.V Series So You Think You Can Dance.
